A Too Soon Goodbye

A Too Soon Goodbye

A Poem by Benedict Mdluli
"

Have you ever met someone amazing & as you start to know each other better it comes to a point where you just have to leave you have no choice but leave & you tell them you leaving and they look sad?

"

Grounded tenaciously by the

feeling I was going, I felt deep

pain and my heart groaning.

I couldn't tell if it was raining

or I was invaded by pain, it was

just a too soon goodbye.

My wish was that I should have

never have said hello! But I had

to taste the melon, her beauty

doomed my eyes, her stature

glued in my heart.

"I hate you" She said but none the

less it had to be done although

hearts were shuttered & scattered.

I pray you forgive me, part of me

hates me,too. I won't tell but I'm in

deep thought as the mind is a greater

tool.

The world is new nothing is impossible,

call me if you miss me, remember me

as if you have ever kissed me & believe

you me I would be happy as a kitty

drinking milk.
