Tantalize

Tantalize

A Poem by Benedict Mdluli

Monopolised as a man who is mainly.
Shaped and crafted beauty of a nanny.
Words scrutinised as that of a wise man.
Gifted with beauty that is feared like that
of the boogie man.
She was fiercely but calm as a valley.
Beware there is a crocodile ready to
devour.
I was in a dream!I said Hie barbie!
She said "Hie Barney"
I weakened wished I had no sight.
It was noon time but in mind it was night.
A question was raised 'are you alright?"
I licked my lips and said you tantalize.
I woke up back to reality from the dream.
Filled with life, smiles and fantasy.
I stood up, walked slowly like a tortoise,
I realised the power of love is nice, messy,
very closely and roary.
