The Storms Of Life

The Storms Of Life

A Poem by Benedict Mdluli
"

About a boy who had both parents and all was going well until he loses them all in a tragic accident.

"

Light used to shine in my chambers,

Birds used to sing in my day and night

All I had was right, it is gone and darkness

Has overtaken brightness, all my mother

Told me was Jesus lives, so I’ll live.

Now she is dead was it all lies.

My aunt told me it was life, these things

Happen. But she took everything away from us.

Came into our lives as a comforter but she fooled

all of us. All that was ours is now hers, the storms

of life.

Jesus I heard you live and I believe, where you are

I know you rule. Come into my life and rule, I had

you made storms calm. Come calm the storms of

life in mine, and please keep my mom.
