The Signal After The StigmaA Poem by Benedict MdluliTalk about HIV/AIDS
Who are you, why are you calling my name.
Have you forgotten your friends, I'm none of them Your behavior is unscrupulous, You give no one a reason to be suspicious of you, You lure us all to our graves. You have taken thousands & you're still taking. We are dying like flies and that's not a lie. Where did you come from? Your ancestors must be ashamed of you, unless if it's a family thing. How do you sleep at night? that is if you sleep, with so many sins. OH!!! You come without invitation leave without notice & killing is your motive. You like a demon, I would love to call you legion, but why ain't you on pigs? Instead you chose man because you thought you're big. I have never seen you, but the damage you do!. You destroy a handsome man leave him pale, take a beautiful lady leave her frail. Where is the pride of my people? It's under the grave. Being handsome has turned to be my worst enemy because it has killed me. I thought one lady is not enough, Or she thought I wasn't enough cheating was the only way, one of us did or we both did, you see you left us with the blame game. She was the true love of my life hopefully I was hers too, her beauty has disappeared. she used to shine but now we are dying, people now say it's lucky for them to rise with the sun.
I never wanted to live this way, Love was intact & lust came to subtract. The one I love is crying, lying on her death bed, I can't do anything to help her remember I'm also dying. Till death do us apart, Yes but not in this way, You destroy everything in a human's life, you're the mother of destruction. Be happy all you want because you think you have won but weapons to obliterate you are under construction. You have tormented our emotions, we're emotionless be warned many try to terminate others unknowingly they get exterminated themselves, You have no shame I'm waiting for you crash before your smash © 2014 Benedict Mdluli |
