Fear Steals

Fear Steals

A Poem by Benedict Mdluli
"

Fight Fear, Steer the ship

"

My eyes see, my mind thinks

My heart feels, everything is good,

Then fear comes to steal.

I have lost the sphere, she is gone

OH!, The pain that I have to bear.

It’s like a stab of a spear.

All I had is gone, all I have is going

I can’t give what I’ll have
This is my round, I stand my ground

        FEAR YOU BOUND!

You have no timing, like the storms

Your damage is beyond that of lightning

You’re the only thing I feel by heart but
I’ve never seen.
You attack the mind, make
the heart faint, & you taste my faith.

Well I’m tired of you, today you going to fail.

Fear you are there but you don’t exist

I hear about you like Hitler in the books

of history. Show me your family I’ll destroy

it from the greatest to the smallest. Today

I take my stand even if I have to pay with my

last breath

You’re like a “GODZILLA AN ART OF DESTRUCTION”

Show yourself a man, I’ll show you were the line is.

FEAR I fear to say I fear you and be your slave,

I break away see me walk, see me talk we used to
be tight
. But our relationship is done, & my future
is bright, all I need is light
