The World Within and Without

The World Within and Without

Whirled into another world she dreamt
On a mission to be herself, she had been sent
But unaware what all that meant
Cast into the reality of lovers of Dollar and Cent

Not of her kind came to her mind
Wherever she went, men and women just for rent
Nobody cared, nothing they shared
Lost either in triviality, banality, vanity and filiality

Which wasn't quite wrong
But no feelings so strong
None of those hitting her gong

The others she met - however they smiled, she felt defiled
As their notion of God was thoroughly hammered in stone
She shook her head going to bed
Not THAT way she was going to tread
Even if fate this night was keeping its hate
To turn her body to dust and bone
There were other skills she needed to hone
To finally find a way back home
Wherever that was, there must be a cause

Refusing the mental cattle prod
She seeked out peace and beauty on her own
No, not forever would she stay alone
Said she with a hearty nod

Starting with a cake of cheese
And two little friends easy to please
Out she set, under a sun that brightly shone
Not a risk of getting wet
That day was nothing but a friendly play
In woods that wanted her to stay

After a cup of beanbrew ever nice
A piece of cake, what joyful chew
Followed by a cone and chocolate ice
Past each moment flew

The friends settled down without a frown
To dream, entranced by closeby water's stream
Of loved ones yet to meet
Powerful thoughts sent down on celestial's street

Just as a heavy star bends space and time
To open gateways like a chime
A loving thought, how small it be
Travels faster than the speed of C

Through the Multiverse it flies
Reaching other lonely cries
Connecting worlds that lie apart
By just the distance of a heart

The world within, the world without
Becoming unity primordial
Mind and matter so concordial

Unnoticed by the dreamer's senses
Slipping through dimension's fences
An otherworldly worker friend appeared
Sleep on friends, nothing to be feared

Just a little piece of cake
I'll bring to my sisters of the lake
Hold on your love with diligence
And far beyond coincidence
Your wishes will come true
She winked towards the sleeping cat and little man
So do you need a stronger clue?
Your Lady, she will find it, too!
My word as a Sylvan, you have got
Oh, happiness, you'll have a lot!
