A collection of short poemsA Poem by Soresuke Marujust jamming with wordsThe Scholar The Student of the Way His practise every night and day All the arts that meet his eye He invites with pleasure, not too shy
Another Day The heated days Sun's relentless rays The heavy load On my back it stays Down the dusty road Wishing for a cooler place
Paper Square Folding paper, every crease Disturbing thoughts begin to cease What seems a mess of line and angle Soon has the beauty of a bangle May it be turtle, bird or flower chain Oh wondrous paper art so smart Given to us on mortal plain Never shall we ever part Remain forever in my heart
O Sensei Oh teacher of the art Many thanks for your part Every gorgeous move precise In body and spirit concise Every hour at your side The proper place to hide No matter how hard the lesson Craving for a lifetime session Gone is every fright Replaced by infinite delight Every grain of wisdom Not a piece of boredom Thank you teacher, ever kind You're always with my mind
Great Masters Knowing your presence From dimensions near yet far But feeling your apparrent absence With every fibre wishing for a lucky star Can't await to talk with you Other than in images of of distant lands abroad Awaiting just another clue Oh, wasn't that a gentle nod?
Number's Game Oh delightful is thou language Discovered by thy greatest minds More than simply thy appendage Puts in words what science finds
Not only a past time for my head It helps me thinking Earns my bread An entire world started shrinking
Giving rise to useful gadgets Trusty aides at any time Was I once no more than a midget Given the tools for a mere dime © 2014 Soresuke Maru |
