Why kitty?

This is for my cat Micheal.

When my cat died i had the blues.

Looking at its body it made me cry.

Holding Him while i say goodbye.

Petting his body while he has his last breathe.

As he dies solwing a tear streams down my cheek while i think of the good times we had.

My heart feels cold and blue as i think of how much i love him.

When he dies in my hands i can feel his soul leave his body.

I just wish......

I could put his soul back in him.

Why kitty? Why kitty?

I miss you so much.

I will never forget you my fluffy cat.

I remember his meow.

I remember the way he would purr.

Why kitty? Why kitty?

I just want you to come back.

The pain of loosing a pet. It is such a devastating thing for those who don't understand. I and my soul-mate recently lost a beloved, fat cat named min min. He was a dog in spirit. Very calm and barked, but extremely smart. Pet's are people trapped in furry bodies, they all have personalities and spirits, he lived for 15 years, and then suddenly took ill, I imagine my soul-mate petting him like you wrote about your kitty. Sad and painful write, but nicely don as an ode to Micheal.

I love this! It makes me realize how lucky we are to have little furry animals in our lives as family members. I was moved to tears. Nicely done, thank you.

Awe this is sad, it must of been really hard to go through that. It's hard to relate to this until someone goes through it. D: I hope it's not anytime soon for me.

Reading this made me cry. I had a cat once, one who I obviously loved very much. We got him when I was only four years old, and even though it turned out I was allergic to him, we kept him for eight whole years. We had to put him down due to cancer when I was thirteen, and I still miss him like crazy three years later. Great poem, although I am truly sorry that you had to go through this.
