The slam I couldn't write

The slam I couldn't write

A Poem by Marty Herrick
"

A poetry slam poem that I couldn't write for school.

"

I hate you.

And not just a little bit,

I hate you every time you tell me im not good enough

Not smart enough,

Not pretty enough,

not thin enough,

not perfect enough.

I hate you Every time you look at me sadly,

Or dissapointedly,

or irritatedly.

And I hate that you don't think I can talk or

write or

dance or

march or

anythng without your nagging voice.

So here I am to say I hate you,

but I love you too.

So thanks,

And no thanks Mom,

For all the crap you do.

because then it would be a grade that my mom would see. And then she would be all mad.

Very good. Why couldn't you write it for school?
