I have a Roof

I have a Roof

A Poem by Marty Herrick
"

a poem for a childrens book.

"

I have a roof!

I carry it with me!

It keeps of the rain!

Mostly.

I have a roof!

I carry it with me!

It gives me shade!

Sometimes.

I have a roof!

I carry  it with me!

It's better than most roofs.

It has spots.

I have a roof!

And I carry it with me!

I can fold it up!

My umbrella.

Very clever!
It would fit well in a children's book, as you said it was for and uses excellent repetition. I have to admit, it actually amused me as well. I definitely enjoyed it.

I like this becasue it was inspired by a comment of my favorite author, John Green.
