Chapter 2A Chapter by Molentoso, another chapter within 24 hours, damn im really cranking it out there todayMolento slowly became aware of an argument as he regained
consciousness. “We must kill him,” David’s voice said, “He is a demon.” “No, father, don’t,” Eliena said, “He can’t be a demon.” “But he has wings and pointed ears, and those eyes, they make me
shudder.” “So what, just because he has wings and pointed ears doesn’t
mean that he is a demon, there has to be another explanation.” “No, I am going to kill him.” Molento heard footsteps, slow and deliberate, come up to the bed
that he was in. then, he heard light, fast ones and felt someone stand over
him. “No father, I am not going to let you kill him,” Eliena’s voice
said, right above Molento, “he says that I have potential and I want to learn
more about this.” “Fine, daughter, I won’t kill him…” “Oh thank yo-“ “Until he wakes up and explains himself.” “But father!” “No buts, now since you’re so intent on keeping him alive, you
will stay here while I go to the tavern and have a drink.” And with that, Molento faded to black again. When Molento next awakened, he saw Eliena sitting on a stool
next to the bed he was in. He realized that he had no shirt on, and his wings
were spread out, dangling off the bed. That was the reason that they had been
fighting, he sensed, most people have little experience with my kind.
Molento turned his head to get a better look at the hut then he had had when he
first walked in. It was a simple one room hut, with three beds in one corner, a
kitchen area in another and a table in the center of the room. At the sound of his head scraping against the bed, Eliena looked
around for the source and noticed that Molento was awake. "Quick, we don't
have much time," she said, "My father will be back soon, and
he-" "Wants to kill me, yes I heard when I regained
semiconciousness earlier," Molento finished, "What are we going to do
about it?" "We are going to run away," Eliena replied, "I've
already packed essentials, but I could not find any spare food and water for
us, so we will have to hunt for food, oh, and here is your tunic," she
said, hefting a bag onto her shoulder and handing him his tunic. "Thanks for the help," Molento replied, "but why
are you coming with me?" "I want to know more about this power you said that I have,
and i also don't want to stay in this tiny village for my entire life and this
may be my one chance to leave." "Fair enough, to be honest, I really want you to come,
because you are interesting and I too want to know more about your power, so
let's go. Oh, by the way, how are we going to get out of here?" "Oh, um, I hadn't thought of that. I know of a trail
that will take as away from here." "But what about horses, we won't get very far on
foot," Molento mused. But maybe we don't need horses, I don't know
how strong these wings of mine are, but I think that they are strong enough to
carry us both for awhile. "Ok, I know how we are going to get out
of here, lets step outside." "But why, if we have no way of getting away fast?" "You'll see." They went outside, Molento folding up his wings to pass through
the door. The sun was shining down on them, it looked about mid afternoon,
"how long was I asleep," Molento asked. “Not for very long, less than a day." "Oh, ok, hold on tight," Molento said, stepping
closer. "But wh..." Molento grabbed her and jumped into the air, unfurling his wings
as he did so. With three powerful strokes of his wings, they were fifty feet
off the ground, and soaring away over the trees. "Ah, that's why," Eliena said in a small voice. © 2011 MolentoAuthor's Note
