The Tree's Forgotten Flower

The Tree's Forgotten Flower

A Poem by Martiya Daman

The Tree's Forgotten Flowers
Ah, flowers, you wanted to hold me tight,
You didn't want to fall, is that right?
But the call of the winter was too loud,
Slipped away along, with blooming sound.

Buried in the snows,
Then the wind blows,
You... Are... Gone,
I became drawn.

Spring came, still no flowers,
Monsoon came, drops showered,
I waited, waited,
I cried, a life I hated.

O' flowers, where are you,
Can you be here again and bloom?
O' lord, why these gems are gone,
Must be decayed on the ground now!
