Greedy

Greedy

A Poem by Martiya Daman

Greedy
A woman with brown hair,
Who does not like to share,
A woman with smiles on her face,
but hitting your heart with a mace.

A tree drinking salt water from the ground,
Bullied by trees all around,
Shoved from a pretty river,
Covered with yellow leaves and having shivers.

A friend who is greedy,
Oh, make sure not to talk,
To not be greedy, help the needy,
It's time to be kind and lock.

Greediness in all sides,
Hope you're dreaming,
Not able to bind,
Somebody you should be leaving.

Adds a new perspective.

Greed can be dangerous to both the giver and the recover.

Thanks for taking your time, Arun.
Good structure, you make it nice to read your words.

Greed for virtue I think is the most insidious of them all. The altruistic narcissist is dangerous because they appear, well, altruistic at first. (see elon musk)

Greed in an imperfect world abounds .. yet in its strictest sense is so unnecessary .. Neville

Your welcome Martiya. And your poem deserve this.
Martiya, this is such a lovely poem! I especially love the line "A tree drinking salt water from the ground," which paints such a vivid and poignant picture of isolation and struggle. The way you tied the theme of greed into both nature and human behavior is really thoughtful. I love this!
