Ghosts Inhibit

Ghosts Inhibit

A Poem by Martha Page
"

I've been on the same subject all night...feeling trapped with no way out. Excuse the too many poems dealing with the same subject matter xo

"
The stars even begin to scar after awhile...
And the trees faces dance in front of the eyes
My eyes are alive and full of fear
For coming up behind me and everclear
Are the haunted ones coming near;
I've voiced my say to these strange ghosts
Tried to get them in a different host
They won't leave me be
And I'm too lost and forgot to see
That the light could be right in front of me
Or even you if only I could view it the right way
Instead of through all this pain...
My thoughts focus on my hunger, but it's my heart
That hurts, it feels about to pump out my chest
And maybe that'd be best
Cause all around are banshee's screaming
In my little trees
And they won't leave.
Take me under a little longer
See what becomes of me stranger
I've seen enough to know you're sheer danger
In human form...
I've announced your arrival in my time
But once again you should have declined...

Love the rhyme shceme and flow.
Such a deep write, loved the emotions,
they had me in suspense.
