The words of a person who has been hurt many times before
Eye-opening Pain
It is in moments of great pain that you realize the flaws of your surroundings: The cold reality of the way you treat others and how others treat you. You are so blinded by the masked up reality that the evil has seeped deep within you. It is when your heart aches that you realize all the pains inflicted on you by everything around you. Only when your mind can’t comprehend actions of the surrounding world that you are no longer oblivious to the absurd reality that you live in. Only in your loneliest moments you begin to realize that in this world full of people, everyone is bound to be closed and honest with no one: not even with themselves. You live a false life of expectations that are never reached and dreams that die without ever coming alive. You live with expectations of a good future while stuck in the never-ending present. Emotional pain, no matter what kind, is unescapable and causes just as much damage on your life as physical pain. Everyone says that life is worth fighting for, but what do you do when you have nothing in life to fight for? What do you do when you are stuck in a never-ending cycle of happiness and agonizing sadness? Survival is a must, but the willingness to fight for a successful life is low. How do you mask all the pains to be happy again? How do you breathe when your lungs are heavy? How do you sleep when your brain keeps racing? How do you truly live when you never learned how? How do you feel when all the pain has left you numb? How do you find satisfaction with the world? And how do you fight when you don’t even know what you are fighting for?
I like how the structure mirrors the pain of the writing, makes it difficult which as an intentional device really strikes home. I would also say that the pain teaches you to open your eyes and time teaches you perspective. That you can feel such pain is a good and valuable empathy, but to survive it you need the perspective. Happy travels.
I feel your words and the pain in them. I have spoken those words time and time again. I have believed their meanings and preached them to all. Yet, I realized they were wrong. A dream is alive as long as there is breath in your lungs. The only way to get it is by hunting it every day, every hour, ever minute, every second, every beat of your heart. Then you will make it a reality. I found that out on my own. So please keeping growing, learning, and hunting whatever dream sits in your mind. Chase it relentlessly with one thought. The dream you hold so dear. It's possible.
Thank you for the writing.
