Set SailA Poem by 78%H2ORhythm's a little choppy. Originally just the first and last stanzas, I added the middle two on a whim.Full of disdain for the mundane character in the mirror, I set out in self-pursuit. Along the way, I'd say it's safe to be said I tripped over the dharma, face first into the earth, and split open my head. I got picked up by an oceanic hitchhiker after death left me for dead.
I'm a zombie pirate, baptized in booze, reborn free by giving up all I had to lose. I sail on REM winds in a ship of insomnia
I pillage my own cells using the treasure chest of mitochandria to dig heaven out of hell, in pursuit of self I sail under the Jolly Rancher, rolling off the tongue melting into fun I learned with a brain surgeon's cutlass to live like a ghost.
Brain open like a sail to the wind, The thotts come and go as they please. I'm not so much a human organism as I am a vacant lot for lease, a pirate on a dream-ship sailling a sea of mental disease. © 2008 78%H2O |
