Anima Sola

Anima Sola

A Poem by 78%H2O
"

Sort of a bizzare concept to attempt to articulate, I suppose. More or less about how we can never full understand the universe until we see it from more than just a human vantage.

"

Eve, Eve,
Drink down your remedy
Licking Lilith's menstural nectar
never tasted quite so sweet
Slay the serpent's got you slave to the plough
Wishful words, no past or future
Just be present in the now.

You know you're all too human, babe,
all too human
Confined by your illusion
You've been staring into a fearful mirror
For scores of years
Wondering why the maps been backward all the while
Well you can turn around and see the world
But I guess that's not your style.
You know these insinuations
are the basis of creation -
Can't you at least use a little imagination?

Posing as a phony for far too long
You've forgotten how to sing
Your ears don't ring
with any other song
Tone deaf as death
and burning like salted ice
You've got to change the game
if you don't want things to stay the same
You can't just reroll the dice

Eve, Eve,
Get up off your knees
Hot air rises like Love
Don't let the Man let you freeze
Speculation Serpent sunk in its fangs
so long ago
Now you're lost adrift in just one spot
and you don't know where to go

You know you're all too human
and that might not ever change
Until you unbolt your furniture
you cannot rearrange
It's strange It's strange
With all these maps drawn up
You'd think we'd find our way

I say!
It cannot be said
or seen or read
Walk out. Shut the door behind you.
Hang a bug zapper from your head.

WordsWordsWords
Chirping like bugs or birds
clippings of catalogues
gossip overheard,
But you'll never find repose
Until you see that the world's
not only stranger than you suppose,
but maybe - just maybe stranger than you
-can-
suppose

Eve, Eve,
You're egalitarian royalty
Sip Eris's apple cider,
and dream that you may see

Eve, Eve,
Darling, don't you see?
All these things that you believe
are the tragic remnants of a perfect picture
Sifted through a sieve.

About
I have tasted the faery fungus and haven't stopped vomitting words like runes ever since. My brain makes me sick to my stomach, and while senses can be deceitful, pleasures never fail. Which is sayi.. more..
