Humanity

Humanity

A Poem by Marochelle Carelsen

My screams fall on deaf ears
I plead to merciless tyrants
Promisses spill from eyeey mouth
There's no line between truth and lies
We see the world with unseeing eyes
We listen to soundless voices
Impossible dreams become plausible wishes
Simple plans become rocket science
Life was said to be easy
Humanity makes it hard
Love was supposed to be special
Humans made it a word
We talk about eutopia
Yet we create dystopia
Where will the destruction of humanity end?
