My dull and lifeless eyes saw the world passing by
The laughing of children, the love in their eyes I smile and laugh, that's my disguise In my mind the smile fades and I silenlty cry All the emotions, the anger and pain Feeling numb or emotional, it's all the same My lips form a smile that doesn't reach my eyes It's a constant battle between two sides My mask is in place and working just fine Reality and fantasy there is but a thin line My mind says I'm happy, my heart disagrees They constantly fight like war ready bees A slap and a kick, a stab and a shot My shattering thoughts are all that i've got
