A little girl

A little girl

A Poem by Marochelle Carelsen
"

The story of a broken girl and her thought

"
A little girl

Broken promises and broken dreams
A little girl, tearing at the seams
Crying and screaming, struggling to get free
A little girl, drowning in misery
She sits on her bed with eyes tightly shut
A razor in hand making a cut
The droplets of blood slowly trickles down
Shining like rubies dug from the ground
Her eyes fill with tears of sadness and pain
Falling in sync with the thunderous rain
A little girl with tears all cried out
Goes to bed, swimming in doubt

This poem describes very little of what she's feeling or thinking. Although the imagery is pretty on point (especially the rubies), that's is all that I see in this. I see she's sad but why? Was she wronged by someone? Does she hate herself? Anyways, the ideas that were presented were written and rhymed well for the most part. Don't be discouraged tho 'cause my criticism is simply based on what I personally prefer.
