AbsentA Poem by Marmalade TyJust a personal experience that made me re-prioritize how I managed my love life.
Tangling his fingers through her dark curls,
He sighed, watching them bounce back into place, And gave up hope for sleep. Unlike her, Whose breath evened out against him, And whose arms fell limp around him. She was wearing his too-large shirt, last-minute pajamas, and smelled of, sweet soap. It looked perfect, and for the night, he felt happy.
