Time Bath

Time Bath

A Poem by Marlton
"

Reflections on water

"

I’ve stopped showering.

The water is like quicksilver,

Flashing over my skin too quickly,

Stealing my tears

Before I’ve felt them.

I need the water to linger,

It’s warm body growing,

Like the sight of you in the distance

As you walked smiling towards me,

Til its mass can spoon around me

And hold me in even warmth,

Like you never did.
