Blood In the Sand

Blood In the Sand

A Poem by Marlowe147

Flakes of burning news and brittle scrap

Dissipated into the nothing air above

the tin can

Radiating, and heating the way.

Blood in the sand

and on the slumped veterans, born of erosion

Radio static the only civil noise

besides the current wind blown

Out from the city.
