I Have Travelled the World

I Have Travelled the World

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

This is a poem about love and blues.

"

A dreamer stole Flo’s heart a year ago.

She told me goodbye and ran off with him.

I know that in time he’ll leave her,

And she’ll surely regret her decision.

She’ll have to face the heartache,

However unbearable things may get.

When she looks at the ring in the casket,

She’ll remember our warm love.

I‘ve travelled the world since Flo left.

I went to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower.

I walked along the busy streets in London,

And I toured the botanical parks in Peru.

Every month I go from port to airport.

I’ve visited some places for the first time.

My friends tell me to find another lover,

But she’s the only girl my heart desires.

I spent three lonely nights in Berlin.

I saw a lady in Moscow who resembled Flo.

I called a woman by the roadway in Israel,

For I couldn’t believe that it wasn’t her.

How I’d like to get in touch with her.

I long for a kiss from her sweet lips.

My tears reveal the hurt I feel inside.

Doesn’t she have any sympathy for me?

Now at last in this faraway land I see her.

Finally, my happiness has returned.

I’m back together with my love again.

I knew that someday I’d find her somehow.

Time or destiny won’t separate us;

Neither will circumstances keep us apart.

Now that my darling and I are reunited,

No one can take her away from me again.
