Two Lovesick People

Two Lovesick People

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

Here is another poem of love and blues for the ladies.

"

I’m standing alone in the moonlight tonight.

Loneliness fills my heart with despondency,

And I’m feeling the pain of downheartedness.

I’m not the only lovesick person in the world,

There must be a girl somewhere pining for love.

I’d like to get in touch with her somehow.

She doubts that she’ll ever find true happiness.

That same thought weighs heavily on my mind.

She wants someone to adore her forever,

And I want someone to love and never lose.

I wish the stars could show me where that girl is.

She cries softly because she has no companion.

Dejection makes tears run down my cheeks.

I’m burning with eagerness to kiss tender lips,

And she desires the sweetness of a caress.

Every day she wishes for a good husband,

And I’m so anxious to marry a fascinating girl.

Why should two lovesick people be so far apart?

If we were in each other’s arms tonight,

Our hearts wouldn’t feel so sad and lonely.

I hope she’s not afraid to send out her love call,

For I’m extending my love to her at this time.
