You Call Me Love (rewritten)

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

This is a love poem.

For Kamela

I know you truly love me, although in a way that I did not expect.

Your affection for me shows in most of the things you do.

I am convinced that your love is truer than any love I have ever known.

And I feel this way because every day you call me “Love.”

I must admit how unusual it is that I never call you by your pet name,

But I try to make you feel happy in the other little ways I can.

I seldom say kind words to you such as, darling and baby.

But honestly, this does not mean I love you any less.

What keeps you loving me the same way after so long?

I cannot imagine why you still have a burning desire for me.

Your exceptional love just refuses to fade through time.

And I believe that your feelings for me will never change.

Your appreciation for me remains a mystery that is hard to unfold.

Honey, tell me, why is your love so deeply rooted?

The answer to your unending love eludes my comprehension,

But I thank God that you are such a wonderful person.

And I am fortunate that you are mine exclusively.

Kamela, you are the best gift I have ever received.

All through the years, you have brightened the dull spots of my heart.

In sickness and despair, you have always been there for me.

Your love has pulled me through even the roughest times.

And today we still have a love that is going strong.

I consider myself fortunate that you play an important role in my life.

But even more so, I have someone to call me “Love.”

And this poem is just my way of expressing how much I love you.
