Suspicious Feelings

Suspicious Feelings

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

This is a poem of love.

"

What thoughts come to your mind when I stay out late?

Do you have a feeling that I am seeing someone else?

You went to the drive-in cinema with your friend.

I knew that she would tell you bad things about me.

But do not be misled by mischievous hearsay.

That busybody is just trying to destroy our marriage.

You keep bugging me about my faithfulness to you.

Darling, did I ever give you cause to doubt me?

You have a sceptical attitude when I give an explanation.

The red stain on my collar is not what you think it is.

It came from a strawberry candy of a toddler that I held.

And the lady that I was talking to on the phone is my mom.

I really did not think you would be so darned suspicious,

Not after all the ups and downs we have been through.

Nevertheless, I must make a confession to you:

I should trust you because you have never lied to me,

But I wonder what you do when you are out of my sight.

And I cannot help but have suspicious feelings about you.
