This Isn't the Last Time

This Isn't the Last Time

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

This is a poem of love.

"

Hi, you look stunning tonight.

What a remarkable sight!

I’ve been eyeing you since you came in the cantina.

We’re not absolute strangers,

I’ve seen you here a couple of times.

And I hope this isn’t the last time I’ll see you.

You seem to be lonely all by yourself.

And I can’t hide my loneliness.

Could I chat with you for a few moments?

It’s rather crowded in here.

Let’s go outside and get some fresh air.

If it’s all right for me come on strong,

I could attempt to take away your blues.

The night has an aura of love.

Country music is playing on the jukebox.

And the lyrics of the songs put thoughts in my head.

By the way, I didn’t ask you your name.

I take it that you feel aroused.

There’s a lustful look in your in eyes.

I understand your body language.

Your blue heart craves love,

But you won’t acknowledge it straight away.

Baby, why are you so doubtful?

Love is right here, and the stars are way up there.

Your loveliness attracts my gaze.

Do you comprehend my feelings for you?

You don’t seem to take me seriously.

Perhaps you think you might not see me again.

What happens from here on depends on you.

I’ve fallen in love with you already,

And that’s the important thing.

Don’t let this chance for love go to waste.

Tell me you feel the same way I do.

Say this isn’t the last time you’ll see me.
