Something Better than Love

Something Better than Love

A Poem by Poet Pittinix

This is not just an instinctive or emotive love.

It is quite different from any love I know.

I have far too much faith in you,

And you have complete trust in me.

Our love is the truest love of all.

Some people only dream about an unusual love,

But it seems that we have found it.

What makes us so dotty about each other?

It must be something better than love.

I know what love is, I have felt it before.

But this feeling is more than love.

A strange thing is controlling my heart.

I see something better than love in your eyes.

Your smile is more than just a smile.

Baby, your love is too great for me.

You possess something better than love.

I was expecting a typical love from you,

But I get more than love when you caress me.

I am not satisfied with calling it a mere love.

This is the greatest affection on earth.

Others brag about their fantastic love affair,

But no love can compare to our love.

We do not understand this unique emotion.

It is definitely something better than love.

There is no other way to describe it.

Nobody has ever experienced this kind of bliss.

We have something better than love.

Good emotion. Reminded me of Shakespeare's Sonnet-130. Here's a link: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45108/sonnet-130-my-mistress-eyes-are-nothing-like-the-sun

Happy writing,
