On-line CommunitiesA Poem by Poet PittinixIt's a poem about websites.Authors
do not write only for the members of online communities. They
write stories, poems, and songs to share with everybody. More
visitors to websites read poetry than members of websites do. It
is unfair that non-members are not allowed to give feedback. Members
of online communities should not feel that poets write about them, Neither
should they take the work of other poets personally. Why
do some people feel offended by the contents of some compositions? You
cannot prevent authors from writing about certain subjects. Poetry
has no limit, so nobody can tell an author what to write. You
heap verbal attacks on writers because you disagree with their views. Not
all online readers like every poem that you compose and publish. Write
about any subject you want and allow other poets to do the same. As
for those who talk about friendly online communities, they are wrong. People
appear to be friendly until you express something that they dislike. Some
authors react angrily to helpful suggestions from other authors. And
they hit back by making malicious comments on the poems of such authors. Some
people are too proud to accept tips to improve writing skills. Poets
should encourage and uplift fellow poets instead of insulting them. © 2024 Poet PittinixAuthor's Note
