Haile Selassie Is Not God

The author's views about the religion of Rastafarians.

Rastafarians will feel animosity towards the author of this composition.

Emperor Haile Selassie was a wicked and corrupt ruler, not God.

He did not care about the underprivileged people of Ethiopia.

Millions of Negroes starved and suffered under his oppressive leadership.

The uncivilized Rastas rejoiced that their god was coming for them.

His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I visited Jamaica on April 21, 1966.

And he needed an interpreter to translate between English and his tongue.

What kind of god does not understand the language of his servants?

A large crowd of Rastafarians converged on the airport before Selassie arrived.

Police and soldiers had to barricade men and women who resembled wild boars.

Haile Selassie was so afraid of the ugly Rastas with rotten teeth.

He said that he did not know that people were worshipping him as God.

Rastafarians have been worshiping an imaginary god for many years.

What a shame their highly esteemed god does not know them.

Haile Selassie urinated and defecated like any other human being.

So why do freaky, tangled-haired Rastafarians think he is the Almighty God?

Every day the illiterate Rastas smoke stinking ganja, cough, and spit.

They play kettledrums, do nyabinghi chants, and sing redemption songs.

And they talk about repatriating to Africa the land of their ancestors.

Sensible people do not smoke marijuana and destroy their lungs.

The nasty, Jamaican Rastas seldom wash their dirty, knotty locks.

Rastafarians stubbornly refuse to accept the facts about Haile Selassie.

And they curse anybody who tells them that Haile Selassie is dead.

Haile Selassie was in fact brutally assassinated on August 27, 1975.

Rastafarianism is a false religion like many other religions in the world.

The reasoning of Rastas is complete mumbo jumbo, rubbish they are talking!

No Rastafarian can convincingly explain his or her religious beliefs.

Moreover, the principles and religious views of all Rastas do not harmonize.

Some Rastas say that the heart is what makes a person a Rasta and not the hair,

And yet they call the people who are not Rastafarians, “Baldhead.”

The “Natty Dreads” are not peaceful and loving people as they claim to be.

Emperor Haile Selassie is not God whether Rastafarians like it or not.
