Break-up

Break-up

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

Love and blues for heterosexual women.

"

Yumi, I wish we hadn’t broken up in a public place.

Everyone saw you walking away from me.

And they heard me say, “Yumi, please don’t go.”

I didn’t want to cry and hurt my pride,

But I couldn’t conceal my tears from the onlookers.

You knew that you were my only girl.

I wanted no other girl because I loved only you.

Darling, why did you break up with me?

My mom said, “That girl will break your heart.”

I told her that you had a strong love for me.

Sadly, it turned out that she was right.

I sensed your uneasiness when you approached me.

And I knew that something was wrong.

You hesitated to say what was on your mind.

My face fell when you said goodbye.

I stood there watching you until you went out of sight.
