The So-called Limited State of Public Emergency

This composition exposes the lies and wickedness of politicians.

The idiot in Jamaica House and the commissioner of police have delusional ideas.

It does not surprise me that the leaders of my country are utterly confused.

 

They imagine that the best way to deal with crime is to employ stiffer measures,

So they declare what they call a limited state of public emergency in certain areas.

And they empower the armed forces, but that approach will definitely not work.

 

If the prime minister and his colleagues want to reduce crime and violence in the country,

They should create more opportunities for the poor people to survive.

 

History proves that the use of power and force does not deter persons from crime and violence.

This unwise approach will only strengthen the resistance.

 

Let us take the United States of America, for instance:

No matter how powerful the boastful Americans claim to be, nobody is afraid of them.

The stronger they get, the stronger the opposition gets.

 

In fact, the great struggle against evil and oppression will never end.

We will not have peace, as long as superiority, unfairness, and racism exist.

 

The government of Jamaica is taking advantage of the lower class.

When the police and the military conveniently and unnecessarily besiege ghetto communities,

Innocent people suffer the most, and this is totally unacceptable.

 

The wrongdoers know when to leave certain areas and when to return.

And they know where to go to carry on with their illegal activities.

 

The people who work hard for a living and pay their taxes become victims of state terrorism.

We face verbal and physical abuse, intimidation, and harassment by misguided police and soldiers.

 

Why should an entire community suffer because of a handful of lawless persons?

The police should find a better way to do their work without discommoding innocent people.

Is this the self-styled intelligence of the police that they brag about so often?

 

Parliamentarians with sinister motives use the escalation of crime that they help to create to justify their evil deeds,

Namely to oppress the poor and violate the rights of citizens of this country.

 

The upper class is spared from suspicion, embarrassment, unpleasantness, and inconvenience.

This does not happen because they are clean, law-abiding citizens,

But it happens because they are rich people, and they can pull strings.

 

I am sure the members of the security force are worse persons than the youths whom they label as criminals.

Non-productive police and soldiers cannot offer a solution for the problems in our country.

All they do is exacerbate the bad situations that we experience daily.

 

The police and the military set up barricades and checkpoints in many parts of the country.

They stop motor vehicles, question people, and ask them to produce their identification cards.

 

The strange thing is that they do not record any information they receive from the people,

So they cannot remember all the things thousands of people tell them.

How will such foolish actions lead the country to prosperity and stability?

 

The damn fools cannot see that they are doing an exercise in futility.

Moreover, it is a deliberate obstruction of productivity and liberty.

 

This fruitless activity and obvious waste of time suit the purpose of the government,

For politicians will get more votes when the people remain in poverty and squalor.

 

The government swindles money from the people in the name of taxes.

They pay police and soldiers with our money to assault, abuse, and murder poor people.

Moreover, the practise of the police is to report piles of lies to the public.

 

We definitely cannot trust the corrupt Jamaican police with anything.

They have not built a reputation for speaking the truth, and it will never happen.

The police have been liars and deceivers since the origin of their evil organization.

 

They do much talk about fighting crime as if they do not know who the biggest criminals are.

Investigate the politicians, the wealthy investors, and the owners of mansions.

Do not forget the religious leaders, the high-ranking officers, and other members of the armed forces.

 

Do politicians know the pain that parents feel when someone kidnaps their child?

What are the leaders of the country doing about kidnapping and human trafficking?

 

The smuggling of guns, kidnapping, and drug trafficking are not the business of the poor.

Such illegalities are the business of politicians, aristocrats, the wealthy, dignitaries, and dirty cops.

 

The so-called honourable prime minister is presiding over a system of iniquity and deception.

He allows corruption, discrimination, deprivation, and institutionalized bad mindedness to flourish.

 

The satanic cabinet ministers and their bloodthirsty security force should desist from terrorizing our communities.

Filthy murderers! Stop murdering our children in the name of fighting crime!

 

They use the so-called limited state of public emergency as a weapon against the underprivileged people.

It appears that the unscrupulous leaders have the wicked aim to turn the county into a police state.

 

I say this is absolute tyranny, antagonism, injustice, and oppression!

And these evil things should not be happening in a democratic society.
