A Trip to Mobay

A Trip to Mobay

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

It's a poem about a trip.

"

Saturday morning we set out for St. James.

There was a thick fog in the valley at 10 a.m.

We barely made it past the climbing lane.

The radiator in the old Nissan van overheated.

We halted on the north coast highway.

Two of us took pictures of the landscape.

We arrived at our destination behind schedule.

It was a bad decision to go that day.

Heavy rain and strong winds affected the work.

The whole thing was a waste of time.

We left Mobay shortly after the curfew started.

And we arrived in Kingston at midnight.
