An Interview with an American Pastor, a Chinese Pastor, and a Jamacian PastorA Poem by Poet PittinixThis is a joke. The interviewer asks the American pastor, “Pastor, how do you manage the contributions at your church?” The American pastor replies, “I’m not like some greedy preachers. I divide the money fifty-fifty. Half is for the maintenance of the church and the missionary work, and the rest is for me.”
The interviewer asks the Chinese pastor, “Pastor, how do you manage the contributions at your church?” The Chinese pastor replies, “I draw a line on the floor, then I throw all the money in the air. What falls on my side of the line is mine, and what falls on the other side is for the church.”
The interviewer asks the Jamaican pastor, “Pastor, how do you manage the contributions at your church?” The Jamaican pastor replies, “I do it like the Chinese pastor, except that I don’t draw a line. I throw the money in the air. What stays up there is for God, and what fall to the ground is mine.” © 2024 Poet PittinixAuthor's Note
