Our Love Is Just a Fantasy

Our Love Is Just a Fantasy

A Poem by Poet Pittinix
"

It's an intriguing love poem.

"

She’s not mine, yet I feel as if I’m losing her.

I care so much for a girl that I’ve never cradled.

My heart loves her more than life itself.

And I had to tell her how I feel about her.

I’d like to stroke her hair and kiss her lips,

But I don’t want to touch another man’s wife.

Although she belongs to someone else,

She shows me that she has feelings for me.

I’ve been in love with her since the day I saw her.

At first, she pretended to be happy with him,

But the look of sadness was on her face.

She knows that her husband is cheating on her.

And her eyes reveal the things she doesn’t say.

She came to the circus, not alone but blue.

I could see how delighted she was when I walked in.

How we wished we could sit beside each other.

The main performance was over at 4.00 p.m.

I walked past her towards the east exit.

She turned around and saw me looking at her.

And she smiled and quickly waved to me.

He became suspicious and asked her who I was.

She cleverly deceived him by saying this:

“I don’t know; I’ve never seen him before.”

“He mistook me for someone else,” she added.

He doesn’t know that her heart yearns for me,

Neither does he know how much I need her.

Although we love each other so much,

We’ve never had a secret love affair.

She often thinks about me, especially at nights.

And she sheds tears from time to time.

We’ve never had the chance for happiness.

Unfortunately, our love is just a fantasy.
