Mask

Mask

A Poem by marleywhite

We hide behind a mask
To get rid of our lies
to never come back
To such a cruel time

We hide behind a mask
To be someone were not
We keep adding layers
and forming knots

We hide behind a mask
For too a long a time
That we forget what's behind it
So go take a look in the mirror
and get rid of that superficial exterior.
