Chapter 7 - The person

Chapter 7 - The person

A Chapter by Mirror

"Thinking of you, wherever you are."
One day you will sit and realize how many persons you met in your life. Friends, enemies, rivals, lovers, companions. None of them will be like that person. The person.
It does not matter what you passed. What you learnt or what you cherish. It is not important in which moment of your life are or what you accomplished. Nothing will matter in front of that person.
Every kiss will wither. Hugs will fade away. Each step you make will bleed. Every caress will lose its importance. Food will be tasteless and alcohol will become healthy. Smoke will make you see clear. Perceptions, senses, feelings will get mixed. Your mind will not be inside your body but above it. You will feel things that do not exist and you will ignore whatever reality surrounds you. Baths will choke you, fights will release you. Songs will lose their meanings or will have only one. Melodies and noises will be the same. Your laugh will represent the screamings inside you, while your patience will strengthen them. Nothing will separate love from hate or pain from satisfaction. This change although beneath your skin, will be noticed and never understood. Total chaos with a fraction of peace. You, at the center of it. Where all warmth is winter and all ice is hell. Where all past is burned and all future is ash. All will be less valuable. All but that person. The person.

Your laugh will represent the screamings inside you, while your patience will strengthen them. My favorite line but the entire last paragraph will play in repeat in my head for the rest of the night. I don't know your intent but for me you have perfectly described falling out of love. As a writer of romance I can appreciate this. I put so much effort into getting my characters to fall in love with one another I never take a minute to think about the opposite. I think I may have to see things from the other side of the looking glass from time to time.
