Your Heart

Your Heart

A Poem by markedforever

I saw you fall

I saw the pain

No one else did

I saw what they did

After what I did.

For it all I am sorry

Never wished to do something like that

I told you I am a monster

You didn't believe me

Told me that it wasn't funny

It wasn't a joke.

Now I will never see that joy in your eyes again

I'll see the pain we all caused you

I wish I could take it away
I don't want you to feel that way

I want to replace your memories

The bad ones

With good ones

How your life could have been.

If you had never met me

I'm sorry I had your heart

And yet I was the one who saw it all

The fall

The pain

And more

Forever more I will be sorry

Forever marked

With blood stained hand

I crushed your heart

I am so sorry.

Interesting read, it's obvious you wrote this poem with an idea in mind of what happened to the main character and their friend/lover. The pacing and run-on sentences are a really good way the express the disjointedness and confusion of one's thoughts in the face of grief, and I can really feel the emotion from your piece.

From what I could see, there weren't any spelling mistakes, but then again I am a terrible speller.
Sad writing, beautiful and sad.
I hope that if you are truly feeling this, for some one, or because of some one, that this helped you to feel better.

Loved everything about this. It really struck me.
The only thing I advise to change is "staned" to "stained." I believe that was a typo.
