Winter Came Crashing

Winter Came Crashing

A Poem by Dave

                                Winter Came Crashing

With hardly a warning it came hurling in.

Summer breezes turned to chills and frost.

No time to store shorts and bathing suits,

                     T-shirts forgotten, getting out sweaters.

Looking for scarves and woolen gloves,

a blanket to spread in front of the fireplace
