Her Shadow

Her Shadow

A Poem by Dave

                         Her Shadow
It glides silently across the far wall of my room.
So close and yet so far away, unable to be touched.
Though dark, I see her tresses and shining eyes,
Her brightening smile that once gladdened my heart.
I remember kisses that would melt the coldest cold.
All of this I remember as her shadow grows darker and further away.

I don't understand, Dave?
The poem is beautiful but sounds like loss...

This is lovely Dave, it is always at twilight or when the night falls that these shadows come and reach out into our very souls... a comfort really and as they fade they leave a little bit of their essence.
Beautiful imagery ....
