Her Shadow

Her Shadow

A Poem by Dave

                         Her Shadow
It glides silently across the far wall of my bedroom
so close and yet so far away, unable to be touched.
Though dark, I can see her tresses and shining eyes,
Her brightening smile that once gladdened my heart.
Remembering kisses that would melt the coldest cold.
All of this as her shadow grows darker and further away.

This is lovely Dave, it is always at twilight or when the night falls that these shadows come and reach out into our very souls... a comfort really and as they fade they leave a little bit of their essence.
Beautiful imagery ....
