Day Sail

Day Sail

A Poem by Dave

Day Sail
The wind in her sails as she goes surging across the waters.
Sleek, white her deck the finest teak, mast reaching high
her blossoming white sails billowing out into the blue sky
contrasted slightly with the puffy clouds floating overhead.
Standing at the bow, golden strands blowing over her shoulders
taut figure filling her bathing suit, proud breasts pointing the way.
Tanned legs splayed easily keeping her balance against the waves
she laughs at the water washing over the deck, into the cockpit.
Enjoying the sea as much as she, gulls screech far above her.
She beckons to me to join her, to hold her closely in my arms.
Together feeling the rushing wind that fills the sails, water on the deck
Basking in the bright sunlight, we kiss a sweet windy, wet welcome.

A wonderful vision you create by your words. To sail and to enjoy the day. Always a wonderful place to know. Thank you Dave for sharing the amazing poetry.

This was picturesque Dave, romantic, passionate and so sweet. I could picture this inside my mind's eye playing. And hearing the seagulls screech as she sailed towards me.

That was an exhilarating trip you took your readers on Dave. Skimming over the water, tasting the salt on my lips and a spot of romance thrown in for added measure. Very nicely conveyed lines. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed it. What's a nice day of sailing without a little romance?

We all need romance Dave. That keeps the world spinning. All the best.
Very well-done way to weave the details & movement of the sea as threads to convey sensuality. My favorite way to describe attraction between people is to liken it to something compelling in one's natural surroundings, as you've done here. Nice balance between natural sensuality & literal physical attraction between humans (((HUGS)))
