Bon Voyage

Bon Voyage

A Poem by MARK my Word

As the morning sun warms the freezing sky,
So as the clouds are away from the land.
One pre-summer amidst the lady dawn,
In a boat which was anchored, I rode.
Looked at the sunlight and sky's color thought,
though different they mixed
and even blind can comprehend.

A great thought and such imagery had been described with your vision of the nature. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Ency :-)
The imagery is so rich and vivid. Your words made me see the scenario of a man on a boat about to be drifted into the sea.

The feeling that the poem elicited from me is the feeling of excitement to go through the journey and of hesitation to leave the land where the boat is still anchored to.

How will you describe the scenario to a literally blind person? You gave me the answer to this question. Just let him be in that certain situation and he will comprehend the view right before the other people's eyes.

I don't really know if the poetic persona is happy or sad about sailing across the vastness of the ocean. Perhaps it is a mixture of sadness and happiness that stirs within him, as what I felt.

I commend you for your nice use of figures of speech and for your rich infusion of images into this poem of brevity and conciseness.

Keep on writing, Mark Philip.
