OhioA Poem by Mark Mendoza
Ohio
Shot down dead, Words that pierce as the bullets themselves. "What else must one do?" one thinks. In a single blink, Flowers rise, In another, Flowers lie. In this bowed gesture, Scents of feeling, Sweep over all. We shall all fall, To be held up by the ground, Staring at sky where clouds of heaven are found. © 2019 Mark Mendoza
