The Peaceful Garden

The Peaceful Garden

A Poem by Mark Hart
"

.......,........ . .

"
On the corner of
Bismark Lane, where
green flickers beneath
the street light.
The scent of red,yellow
flowers fragrant the night.
Cobblestone paths wrap
around poems and memories.
Men, women and children
find their way into
the peaceful garden.

I enjoyed the use of colour in this delightful poem. Traffic light colours. My garden is a haven of tranquility. This poem stimulates all the senses and sends me on a nostalgia trip. Lovely work.

I like the use of red and yellow flowers depicting the other colors of street lights, and relationships.
Stop, go, proceed with caution.
but eventually we do get to that peaceful garden of life...takes many years.

Cobblestone paths wrapping around poems and memories....a lovely description. I do love a cobblestone path. The stones just seem to whisper of the past when I walk on them. A peaceful garden for all at the end of one would be a fitting place to dwell. A visual poem.
