Barrel in your mouth
Taste the death Surprised that it's sour Not long ago This is what you craved Now that it's that time You're not ready for that grave Already got that hole dug deep Overachieved well on Past that standard six feet What do you do now Fill it in Lay in it alive Ain't no corpse goin' in there today Entomb those demons Bury that pistol Never lay another finger Not on your own Not on another man's trigger Rather feel the shame Of bein' caught with the safety on Than be found at both ends Of a smoking gun © 2017 Mark Alexander Boehm |
