#SMOKELESSGUN

#SMOKELESSGUN

A Poem by Mark Alexander Boehm
"

If you've survived a journey to the darkest parts of your mind, let's talk about it. Use #SMOKELESSGUN on social media.

"
Barrel in your mouth
Taste the death
Surprised that it's sour
Not long ago
This is what you craved
Now that it's that time
You're not ready for that grave
Already got that hole dug deep
Overachieved well on
Past that standard six feet
What do you do now
Fill it in
Lay in it alive
Ain't no corpse goin' in there today
Entomb those demons
Bury that pistol
Never lay another finger
Not on your own
Not on another man's trigger
Rather feel the shame
Of bein' caught with the safety on
Than be found at both ends
Of a smoking gun

This is deep. I like the edge it has.
