Judas Sinned For Us All - By Mark ManningA Poem by Mark ManningHanging out with JudasJudas Sinned for us all Don’t you moralise me standardise me Sit in judicious smirky prejudice I come from a place where a lot of things don’t make sense She swore at me from 4am staircase This raging maenad My heart was thumping She tried to make me guilty for her sins of norm wanting She cast my future in her warped world view What was I to do but believe the conceiver Take this guitar and beat me to death with it Smashing it’s scraping twanging strings ‘gainst my bones and flesh scratching me out of existence Cast out sinner never wishing to hurt but by being denied Judas dangly glee swinging from a tree clasping his traitor’s horde in his sweaty remorseful paw Flies buzzed and nobody gave a damn for he was damned ....hands up if you are too? The morning crew chugged into a dawn streaked cove ,I could see them .. Yet I was the one bloodsheet wrapped and weighted they slid me off the stern into deep oblivion’s stygian cave Don’t you moralise me standardise me Sit in judicious smirky prejudice I come from a place where alot of things don’t make sense.
