DORSET GIRL

DORSET GIRL

A Poem by Mark Manning
"

Love travels eternal circle

"

DORSET GIRL

She  cocoon in light blue sheets

Lay she.. she lay  as early dawn misty pane tapped

Aroma  fresh brewed coffee she awoke

Our doings done the night before

As we gaspclung to humanity within us

Grappling for air tongue fight thrusting

No conquering here sweet surrender

Tousled hair, her bright eyes

Search meaning .....

‘’Don’t !’’ I said softly touching her lips

Lips I could cushion from worlds woes

Dorset girl  not far from sleeping

 all at once arose

A rose that easily hurt  ..a willowed beach comber,

Nature's green fingered child digging to connect earth source

that was oh so long ago ...

But there be nights across  oceans time zone

From some dusky dusty foreign cityscape

She still comes keyboarding to me

Dorset Girl

let me Love you ....
