These feelings are hard to explain Like waves hitting me harder On their way back to the water Left perched on a tower When the tide is forced out
I’m too high to dive down And swim back to shore Wondering if anyone might know where I am I should wait for the tide to come in And gently carry me to safety
But desperation doesn’t wait And I can't find patience either I'll take the leap And face the prospect Of painting my blood on the rocks below
I just need to get to someone To tell them that I’m scared And I don’t want to be here on my own
Love, love, love this Mark. Skilfully constructed and with such strong imagery.

Of painting my blood on the rocks below"
Wonderfully sad if you know what I mean, brave too. Thanks.
Wow. I mean, wow. Really, really powerful. I love how you're able to convey such a strong sense of loneliness and desparation in just a few short lines. Well done.
I'd add "the" in the second line of the second stanza after "And swim back to" because it just helps keep the ongoing rythm consistant.
Sounds like it built up to the high and I'm just perched on the last letter of that last line, teetering on the edge, waiting for you to bring me back down.
