Softness in my hands

Softness in my hands

A Poem by MarizaGoes

Her hands of soft skin
for the first time
in mine have been
her hands of soft skin

An instant when
I wish to hold tight
her hands of soft skin
for the first time

Touch of Spring rain
on my palm I feel

Yet I can't explain
touch of Spring rain
lighted by sun rays

A dream becomes real
touch of Spring rain
on my palm I feel

I gently kiss
her hands of soft skin
my child, endless bliss
I gently kiss

In moments like these
when I tuck her in
I gently kiss
her hands of soft skin

Lovely images, it really captures the rapture a parent feels upon holding their new baby. Great word choices, amazing format. Good job!

A lovely Triolet that captures the simple beauty of a child. That unique bond between a mother and a daughter...and the important thing here, to me, is the gentleness, that awareness of the depth of love and of the moment. Great, a new poet! I'm an old veteran of four days, lol
